boot.cat isolinux.bin isolinux.cfg timezones.txt zonetab.txt These files are mostly meant to replace the related files on the German Knoppix 4.0 DVD Everything other than Read.Me and zonetab.txt are meant to replace the equivalent in the boot/isolinux directory on the 4.0 DVD image. There are two ways to do this: The disk intensive way to do that is to mount the DVD image and copy it, then replace the files. You can then use the suggestions on burning the DVD image. The other is to simply burn the DVD image with replacements -- I used k3b. I mount the ISO, start a new Data DVD, and include all of the files and directories on the DVD, then go into the boot/isolinux directory, remove isolinux.bin isolinux.cfg amd boot.cat . then replace them with the versions here. You can then set the boot parameters for the DVD -- (Project -> Edit boot images) New-> isolinux.bin (you need to choose the writable version of isolinux.bin because it will be modified in the process of creating the DVD) choose the advanced options and set: emulation type: none select boot-info table boot load size 4 you can leave the boot catalog file as is ... (seems unchangable) This information can be found in the KNOPPIX/knoppix-cheatcodes.txt file on the CD. The last thing to do is edit the isolinux.cfg file and make changes for your location: Most commonly needed is to set the timezone. I have it set to Canada/Pacific. If you don't live on the west coast of the US/Canada, choose whatever suits you. The file timezones.txt contains a list of available timezones.
